Costa Rica also tops the list for family travel destinations for 2011, coming in at #4 position. The Virtuoso Luxe Report is an annual survey of 6,000 travel advisors in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and predicts luxury travel trends every year. This valuable report collects opinions and tendencies in order to ascertain what motivates today’s luxury travelers.

Costa Rica was listed in first place for the most popular adventure travel destination in the world with 40.53% of the votes, closely followed by South Africa at 32.16%. The Virtuoso Luxe Report revealed Costa Rica as the 4th most popular destination in the world for family vacations, taking in over 25% of the votes.  Costa Rica ranked as the seventh most popular international vacation destination for luxury travelers.
