So your favorite team is playing and you want to get a front row seat while on vacation ? Bar Jolly Roger is a one stop shop for fun featuring several big screen TVs, billiard tables and the only casino (albeit small) in MA. El Gran Escape’s outdoor tables are almost always full with a location just across from the Malecon on one of the busiest corners in Quepos and large televisions throughout.

We definitely recommend taking a trip down to the Marina (Marina Pez Vela) as there are two great locations with beautiful views of the water along with a lot of little shops to explore. Double Hook and Runaway Grill are on the top of our list for watching the game. Two other favorites in downtown Costa Rica / Quepos include Bahia Azul and Blue Marlin and both are within a block from each other just next to the “QUEPOS” sign.

Every Thursday night at 7pm in downtown Quepos at Balu Restaurant is game night called Drinkin and Thinkin. This is a trivia game hosted by locals where participants gather in groups to test their knowledge on a variety of worldly topics. Newcomers are always welcome and entry is free. The winning team will enjoy a pizza and beers on the house!
