Makanda By the Sea
We like to call this the romantic dinner spot in town, no children here please. This hotel is exclusively for adults. Located poolside in Hotel Makanda & offering a delectable choice in entrees.
La Luna
Located inside Gaia Hotel & Reserve on the road to Quepos. The only 5 star hotel in town. If you’re craving an exceptionally elegant dining experience then we highly recommend you indulge yourself here. No children under 15 years please.
Bambu Jam
Excellent, mostly French food. This restaurant is about 3/4 mile going to Quepos on your right. On Tuesdays and Friday nights the place can rock after 9pm to live Latin music.
El Gran Escape
Located in Quepos in front of the seawall with great food and the #1 meeting spot for sport fishers. The restaurant has the largest menu in the area, dependable service, and is a great spot for large groups and families. They also make terrific homemade cheesecakes & desserts.
El Avion
This is one of the most unusual restaurants in town & has great views. Enjoy cocktails at one of the many bars and eat your dinner while sitting in a comfortable rocking chair. A theme restaurant which is great for the kids, built in and around an actual airplane! Located on the right side of the road to the beach….you can’t miss it.
La Hacienda
Located in Plaza Yara shopping mall on the road to Quepos. Delicious & fresh food is prepared with a gourmet Latin twist. Nightly specials and homemade desserts.
Escalofrio
The brick oven pizza made by a local Italian family is our favorite. They also offer more than 20 flavors of homemade gelato. You will find them downtown Quepos next to Dos Locos Restaurant. You can also have them deliver by taxi to your villa, just call and ask for Lucca.
Café Agua Azul
One of our favorites is conveniently located directly above our office. This small, intimate café offers an international menu with daily specials, great service and amazing views.
Ronny’s Place/Mi Lugar
Located way off the road in an undeveloped area, this restaurant is a favorite amongst locals and visitors for its fresh seafood and amazing sunsets.
Restaurant Marlin
Right in front of the beach in Manuel Antonio, an American style beach restaurant, can’t go wrong. Great Quesadillas!
Plinios
The restaurant at Plinio’s Hotel, on your right 1/2 mile before Quepos, is one of the oldest in town. The décor is a lovely jungle style and the menu includes Thai, German, & Italian cuisine.
Barba Roja’s
A block and a half north of Agua Azul, a great spot for happy hour, sunsets, and house music after 10 pm. They serve an international menu and have a very relaxed atmosphere.
Monchados Restaurant
In Quepos down the street from El Gran Escape and across from Banco Nacional. A great place to catch a delicious taste of the Costa Rican Caribbean side with a splash of Mexican.
Café Milagro
Our version of Starbucks. One is located across and down a few steps from Escape Villas office; this is the best place for breakfast and coffee. Serves a great light lunch of salads and sandwiches. El Patio de Café Milagro in Quepos serves dinner and is recommended as the best in town by Lonely Planet.
Restaurant Mar Luna
A great choice for local cuisine, specializing in seafood. Also has one of the best sunset views in town. Live dinner music on certain nights of the week.
